Clinical Supervision in Vermont
For Pre-Licensed Clinicians
Clinical supervision in Vermont for master's-level counselors working toward LCMHC licensure. I'm Amber, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Richmond, and I supervise online statewide.
Who I supervise
Clinicians with a master's degree in counseling who are accruing post-graduate hours for Vermont licensure. My clinical background is perinatal mental health, college students and emerging adults, and trauma work, including EMDR. If that's near your caseload, we'll have a lot to talk about. If it isn't, that's fine too; supervision is about how you think, not just what you treat.
Building a private-pay practice
The thing I most want to help newer clinicians with is starting a practice that doesn't tie you to insurance panels. While we remain clinically focused, we will also support you with learning to talk about fees, writing a superbill, deciding who you want to work with and saying so on your website, and getting comfortable with a smaller caseload that pays fairly. Most graduate programs don't teach any of this. We can.
Format and fees
I offer individual supervision on a weekly basis. Many supervisees are required to receive near-weekly supervision to reach the required hours, so this is my typical structure. I meet with supervisees in-person and online. My rate is $100 per hour/weekly session.
