My Approach

How I Work

Therapeutic Modalities

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy looks at the stories people tell about their lives and helps them re-author those stories in more empowering ways to address depression, anxiety, trauma-related distress, grief, shame, identity concerns, and relationship difficulties.

Parts Work

Parts work views the mind as made up of different “parts” and helps them collaborate under a compassionate core self to ease anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms (including dissociation), shame and self-criticism, addictive or compulsive behaviors, and complex relationship patterns.

EMDR

EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or taps) to help the brain reprocess distressing memories and reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and panic linked to specific events, complicated grief, trauma-related guilt and shame, and some phobias.

Clinical Supervision

I offer weekly supervision for LCMHC candidates working towards their licensing hours in Vermont — a supportive space to explore your lived experiences as you grow into your role as a therapist.

In supervision, we focus on:

  • Honing your therapeutic style and modalities
  • Aligning your personal and professional trajectories
  • Building toward a career in ethical, cash-based, private practice

Together we can

Step Into Change

I believe that every individual’s journey is unique, and so is the path to healing. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, or a difficult life transition, my goal is to empower you to find clarity and resilience. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, in a non-judgmental environment that fosters self-discovery and personal growth.

Change can bring up feelings of uncertainty and even fear. I work with clients to understand the origins of their relationship to change and provide strategies for preparing to make meaningful change. Whether you're looking to change the way you communicate with others in your life or shift your connection to self, our work together can help you course correct and stay on track.

Together we will explore change by:

  1. Understanding your readiness for change.
  2. Discovering what motivates you to try something different.
  3. Identifying challenges related to executive functioning including task initiation, planning, organization, and execution.
  4. Unpacking the origins of your core beliefs and how they relate to change.
